Vass Bednar (Moderator)

Vass Bednar is a leading voice on competition policy and digital governance in Canada. She is the Executive Director of the University’s Master of Public Policy program and co-author of the 2024 McGill Max Bell lecture, The Big Fix: How Companies Capture Markets and Harm Canadians. As a Senior Fellow with the Centre for International Governance Innovation, she co-hosts the bi-monthly podcast Policy Prompt, breaking down the biggest policy shifts shaping our world. She also writes a must-read monthly column on technology and public policy for The Globe and Mail’s Report on Business. She was named a Globe and Mail Changemaker in 2023.
