Jayde Lavoie

Community engagement and program coordination professional

Jayde Lavoie is a community engagement and program coordination professional with interests that lie at the intersections of democracy, technology, and human rights advocacy.

In the leadup to the 2025 provincial elections, Jayde worked with The Dais and The Democratic Engagement Exchange to manage a campaign of voter engagement initiatives in colleges and universities across Northern Ontario. Her work focused on providing information about the accessibility of the voting process, and encouraging Northern students to participate in their democracy; with a stellar team by her side, the Northern Ontario campaign managed to engage with over 6% of the target campuses' combined student population!

Jayde also has extensive experience in community coordination, designing and implementing programmatic initiatives for diverse communities of stakeholders, including technologists, civil society and media organizations, and policymakers. Her work focuses on stimulating knowledge-sharing and collaboration aimed at some of the most pressing internet freedom challenges.

Outside of work, Jayde is an avid dystopian fiction reader and a self-proclaimed upcycle seamstress! She hopes the world is treating you very gently, today.
