Camille Étienne

Camille Étienne is a 25-year-old social and climate justice activist. She is particularly active against seabed mining in France, the Arctic and international waters.
She has taken part in UN negotiations and lobbies political and economic decision-makers, while supporting and leading civil disobedience actions with Earth Uprisings and other movements such as Stop EACOP.
She also uses art in her activism via dance, music, short fiction films (Génération, Réveillons-nous, Glacier) and her documentary Pourquoi on se bat. She recently published Pour un soulèvement écologique : dépasser notre impuissance collective (2023, Seuil).
