Alicia Hrvatin
Artist and Educator
Alicia Hrvatin is an artist and educator currently based in Brampton. She teaches visual arts at multiple recreation centers around the City of Brampton such as Gore Meadows Community Centre, Riverstone Community Centre, Bob Callahan Community Centre, Eldorado Park. She is the recipient of scholarships from York University for the IMASCO Performing Arts Award, several honorarium awards for VAAH Open House at York University and a BMO Nomination award. Alicia received a BFA in Visual Arts at York University.Â
Her work has been shown in group exhibitions at Gales Gallery in York University and Beaux Arts Gallery. They also have been displayed at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario’s Youth Banner Art Contest for Canada’s 150th Birthday. The banner was featured outside the main walkway leading up to the Legislative Building, Toronto, ON. Other pieces include a drawing submission shown in the My Brampton Hangout digital lookbook, an art mural at Gore Meadows Community Centre and an artwork accepted for the 2024 Brampton BOXED Submissions.
