Yvonne is the Program Manager at the Samara Centre for Democracy. At Samara, she is responsible for developing and running programs and events that seek to support active citizenship and stimulate discussions and solutions on how to build a stronger democracy. Before joining Samara, Yvonne co-founded the Vote Mobs movement, which inspired 45 vote mobs across Canada in the lead up to the 2011 federal election. She also co-founded the non-profit organization, Vote Savvy, creating a network of over 20 Vote Campuses and launching a series of viral videos that challenged youth to take voting into their own hands in the 2015 federal election. Yvonne is a PhD candidate in Political Science and International Development at the University of Guelph, and holds a Masters from the University of Oxford.
