Maanvi is a fourth-year student in the Arts & Science program at McMaster University. She grew up in Mississauga, Ontario and has always loved politics, having volunteered for numerous political campaigns and interned in the office of a Member of Parliament. At McMaster, she was part of a team that studied the impact of documentaries on social change and she researched municipal electoral reform. She has also been involved in campus advocacy and worked with the McMaster Student Union to research policy and represent students at the university and provincial level. During a semester abroad in India last year, she had the chance to learn about new popular movements for transparent and accountable politics by studying Delhi’s government. When she’s not stuck in Zoom school, she loves to read, go on road trips, and look for the best pizza places in the GTA with her family.
